A major winter storm that brought snow from Mississippi to north Georgia affected play in the Mavericks-Hawks NBA game in Atlanta on Wednesday night.  A small leak in the roof of Philips Arena delayed the contest for about five minutes late in the first quarter.

There was speculation the game wouldn't even be due to the threat of snow and the fact that some Hawks employees were sent home before the game.

This is the second time this season an NBA game has been delayed due to a leaking roof. A December game between the Heat and Nets was delayed 31 minutes after water dripped from a hole in the roof of Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
